I've taken this photo of one we recently framed; it's a great example of good oil paintings look when they are framed and ready to hang.
You can see it's very close to the catalogue image - in fact I'm confident in saying they end up looking much better than the catalogue images! It's because oil paintings put out a fantastic radiant energy into any room..They do not reflect light like a print and they have a wonderful texture which a canvas transfer can never achieve.
